Manifesting the Dream
The idea of starting SACAR as an academic centre focusing on the thought and vision of Sri Aurobindo was first shared with my father, late Prof. V. Madhusudan Reddy, way back in 1990. Subsequently, the discussion resulted in purchasing a plot in Vaithikuppam, Pondicherry and the foundation ceremony of the proposed building took place on 29-02-1992.
As the buiding started rising from the ground in August 1998, my dreams for the future of SACAR started getting clearer. SACAR wants to become a centre of learning where learners will come purely for the love of knowledge and not for the sake of degrees or some such gain. It will vibrate with the delight and love of research and insearch in Sri Aurobindo’s and the Mother’s embodied experience and knowledge. Going through this process, the learners as well as the facilitators will realize that all pursuit of knowledge, all fulfillment of works and projects are ultimately means of a growth of one’s consciousness in an integral manner.
